On Day 1, upon your arrival at Amaan International Airport, you'll be greeted by the friendly immigration staff and can immediately connect your devices using the complimentary Wi-Fi. The Ziyara Tours team will take care of passport collection and Visa arrangements, ensuring a quick process through immigration. Afterward, a comfortable 35-minute drive in an air-conditioned coach will take you to the hotel in Amman. Here, we'll manage your check-in and room allocations. You can then enjoy dinner and rest up, preparing for the exciting and spiritual journey ahead.
Our journey will begin with a trip to Al-Raqim Village, just 10 kilometers from Amman, where you'll have the unique and blessed chance to visit the Surah Kahf Cave (Cave of the Seven Sleepers), a significant site mentioned in the Holy Qur’an with an entire chapter dedicated to it. We'll then proceed 156 km from Amman to the revered Sahabi Tree, also known as the Tree of Al-Buqayawiyya. This Atlantic Pistachio tree, standing tall for over 1500 years, is celebrated for the historical event where Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم rested under it with his uncle Abu Talib during a trade journey. Concluding the day's journey, we will return to Amman in time for dinner, allowing you to rest and reflect on the day's spiritual experiences.
On Day 3, after breakfast, we'll embark on an expedition to the historic Amman Citadel, a site brimming with ancient wonders like the Umayyad Palace, Mosque & Water Cistern, an Ayyubid Watchtower, the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine Church, and a grand 6000-seat Roman theatre. Next, we'll visit the Al-Husseini Mosque, an Ottoman-style structure built in 1924 by King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein, on the site of a mosque originally established by the revered Caliph and Companion, Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (RA) in 640 A.D. Nearby, we'll explore the King Abdullah Mosque, also known as the Blue Dome Mosque, known for its striking sky-blue interior and constructed in 1990 in honor of King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein. Our journey then takes us to Jubeiha, a tranquil suburb of Amman, to pay respects to Abdul-Rahman bin Awf Al-Zuhri (RA), a Sahabi guaranteed paradise, who participated in pivotal Muslim battles. Following this, we'll proceed to Wadi Seer to visit the Maqam of Bilal bin Rabah (RA), a symbol of faith and resilience, once a slave who became The Holy Prophet Muhammad's ï·º muezzin, renowned for his melodious voice. The day culminates with a night's stay in Petra, an ancient city celebrated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
On Day 4, our adventure begins after breakfast with a visit to the ancient city of Petra, known for its distinctive rose-red cliffs and the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Here, you'll have the chance to savor local snacks and shop for unique souvenirs while exploring the fascinating Nabatean architecture. Next, we head to Karak to marvel at the imposing 12th-century Crusaders Castle, strategically perched atop a hill and surrounded by a valley on three sides. In the Karak region, we'll explore the blessed Maqams of Prophets, including Nabi Nuh (AS), believed to be the location of the Ark's construction, and Nabi Sulayman (AS), known for his wisdom and extraordinary life. Our journey continues to the Maqam and Masjid of the blessed companion Mu’adh Ibn Jabal (RA). We'll also visit the historic site of the Battle of Mu’tah, where several companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gained martyrdom in 629 AD against Byzantine/Ghassanid forces. Following this, we'll pay respects at the revered Maqams and Masjids of esteemed companions like Ja’far Ibn Abi Talib (RA), Zaid Ibn Al-Haritha (RA), and Abdullah Ibn Rawahah (RA), all of whom bravely fought in the Battle of Mu’tah. The day concludes with a visit to Tafilah to the Maqam of Al-Harith Ibn Umayr Al-Azdi, a Sahabi martyred in an event that led to the Battle of Mu’tah. Finally, we return to our hotel in Amman for dinner and a restful night.
On Day 5, our journey takes us to the historically rich town of Al-Salt, once the administrative center during Ottoman rule. In this town, we'll have the incredible opportunity to visit the blessed Maqam of Prophet Shu’ayb (AS), the father-in-law of Prophet Musa (AS). This sacred site is nestled within a modern mosque in Wadi Shu’ayb. Our exploration continues with a visit to the Maqam of Prophet Yusha (AS), the successor of Prophet Moses (AS), located on a hill named after the Prophet to the west of As-Salt. Another highlight of our journey is the visit to the Maqam and Masjid of Prophet Ayub (AS), renowned for his exemplary patience and faith as detailed in the Holy Qur’an. His Maqam is situated in Khirbet Ayub, southwest of As-Salt. We then venture to the Dead Sea, the earth's lowest point at 400 meters below sea level, a site believed to be near the cities associated with Prophet Lut (AS), the nephew of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). Here, we will also visit the Cave of Nabi Lut (AS), where the Prophet is believed to have stayed for a period. Our day concludes with a drive back to our hotel in Amman, where we'll enjoy dinner and rest, reflecting on a day rich with historical, spiritual, and natural insights.
On Day 6, marking the conclusion of our journey, we will depart from the hotel approximately 3 hours before our flight's scheduled departure time from Amman International Airport. This schedule ensures we have ample time for a smooth and unhurried transition. Upon arrival at the airport, you'll proceed through the necessary checks and procedures. This will also be a moment to reflect and bid farewell to the city that has been your home away from home during this memorable trip.
