We aim to provide an authentic experience by including visits to various unique and culturally significant sites. However, given the nature of many of these destinations, there are a few considerations travellers should be aware of. It’s essential for travellers to have a flexible mindset and understand that certain aspects of the journey are subject to change based on factors beyond our control.
1.1 Management Of Sites: Many of the sites on our itinerary are managed and maintained by descendants of the Maqams or local communities. As a result, these sites may not operate within conventional or fixed opening hours.
1.2 Subject To Availability: Access to these sites is contingent upon them being open and available during our visit. We cannot guarantee entrance to every site, as their opening times and days might be unpredictable.
1.3 Constraints On Visits: If a particular site is closed during our scheduled visit, the possibility of revisiting may be limited due to factors such as time constraints, distance, and our pre-established itinerary.
1.4 Revisits At Personal Expense: Should you choose to attempt a visit to a closed site at a later date or time, any associated costs will be borne by the traveller. Ziyara Tours cannot accommodate personal revisits within the group itinerary.
1.5 Discretion Of Rescheduling: While we strive to provide a comprehensive experience, rescheduling a visit to a site is at our discretion and based on the feasibility of our travel plan.
We aim to deliver not only enriching cultural and religious experiences but also prioritise the well-being and comfort of our travellers. As such, adherence to Islamic customs concerning Mahrams and engagements with the opposite gender is paramount.
2:1 Seating Arrangements: While you are free to choose seating with friends or family, we kindly ask that you respect and adhere to the rules concerning Mahrams. This ensures that all our travellers can experience the journey in a manner consistent with Islamic traditions.
2.2 Engagement With Others: Interactions with individuals of the opposite gender should be carried out with the utmost respect and in line with Islamic customs. It is essential to maintain appropriate boundaries, ensuring conversations and behaviours remain respectful and modest.
2.3 Raise Any Uncertainties: If any issues or uncertainties regarding seating or interactions arise, we urge you to immediately communicate with our tour operators. They are trained to handle such situations with discretion and sensitivity.
2.4 Consistency Across All Activities: The respect for Mahram rules is not confined to any single activity. Whether you’re on our coaches, dining, participating in walking tours, or attending lectures, we expect these guidelines to be observed consistently.
2.5 Accompaniment and Mahram Presence: We do not accept spending any time alone or going out alone without a Mahram. In exceptional or emergency situations, prior consent or attendance of a member of our team will be provided.
2.6 Contact Between Members: It is not acceptable for any individuals to contact another member of this group including exchanging numbers or contacting via Whatsapp privately, especially of the opposite gender, without prior consent and confirmation from the Ziyara Tours team. This is to ensure the welfare of all those who travel with us and the upholding of the Sharia.
2.7 Consequences of Non-Compliance: Failure to follow our terms and conditions may result in a future ban on travelling with us. If required, further action may be taken. We take this with the utmost seriousness.
When embarking on a journey with Ziyara Tours you will be engaging with many sacred and religious landmarks, it is of utmost importance for our travellers to recognise and respect local customs, laws and religious traditions. Your choice of attire goes beyond personal comfort. It is an essential element in fostering mutual respect and understanding between you and the communities you will be visiting.
3.1 Dressing Modestly: Brothers and sisters are required to wear modest attire during their trip in line with Islamic customs. This is not only an expression of respect for the places and communities you are visiting, but it also allows you to immerse yourself in the surroundings comfortably and without drawing undue attention.
3.2 Cultural & Religious Sensitivities: While in religious sites or culturally significant areas, travellers should be especially aware of their attire. This helps ensure that your presence is harmonious with local traditions and requirements. In certain countries like Iraq, there is an increased expectation for sisters to adopt the wearing of black abayas and socks. Non-compliance with these local dress codes may result in being denied access to sacred sites.
3.3 Weather & Climate Conditions: Beyond cultural appropriateness, dressing suitably for the climate and weather conditions of your destination is crucial. We recommend checking weather forecasts ahead of your departure to ensure your wardrobe is suitable for the anticipated conditions.
Engaging with scholars during our tours is both an honour and a responsibility. As we immerse ourselves in the depth of Islamic history, culture, and spirituality, our interactions with these esteemed individuals should reflect our reverence for the knowledge they carry and our commitment to the principles of our faith.
4.1 Status Of Scholars: Recognising the esteemed status of scholars is paramount. We are reminded of the hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): “Indeed the scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets…”. They are individuals who have committed their lives to the pursuit of sacred knowledge. We must engage with them in a manner that reflects our understanding of their esteemed status in our faith.
4.2 Spiritual Journey: It is vital to remember that our tours are not mere holidays or casual getaways. They are specifically tailored to offer a transformative, educational experience for spiritual growth. Our scholars are here to facilitate that journey.
4.3 Opportunity for Close Interaction: One of the unique aspects of our tour is the opportunity for close interaction with esteemed scholars. For many of us, our usual engagements with scholars might be brief encounters at local Masjids or during lectures. This tour provides a rare chance to sit in their presence, learn from their vast knowledge, and draw inspiration from their character.
4.4 Openness to Learning: We encourage an environment of growth. Remember, this journey is as much about personal growth and self-reflection as it is about external exploration.
At Ziyara Tours, the safety, satisfaction, and overall experience of our travellers remain paramount. With our diverse range of tour packages, especially to intricate destinations around the Muslim world, there are essential guidelines we urge our travellers to respect:
5.1 Respecting Staff: It is essential to respect and follow the instructions of Ziyara Tours Staff, our appointed representatives, and lead scholars throughout the trip.
5.2 Experienced Guidance: Our team and group leaders possess substantial experience in conducting tours, especially in complex, touristic and rural areas. Trusting their expertise ensures not only your safety but also a seamless travel experience.
5.3 Understanding Ground Logistics: We have a deep understanding of on-the-ground logistics, which means our decisions and instructions are rooted in ensuring the best possible experience while maintaining the well-being of all.
5.4 Your Experience: Our primary goal is to ensure that your spiritual journey and overall experience are enriching. Every decision we make, from site visits to allocating free time, has this objective in mind.
5.5 Collective Experience: While individual experiences matter, we must prioritize the group’s collective experience. This means that certain decisions are taken keeping the entire group’s best interests in mind.
Our goal at Ziyara Tours is to deliver a memorable and enriching travel experience. To ensure clarity and transparency regarding entrance fees at various sites we visit, please note the following:
6.1 Included Entrance Fees: The majority of the sites in our planned itinerary do not demand an entrance fee. When entrance fees are incorporated in the package, they will be unequivocally mentioned both in the itinerary and on the promotional materials.
6.2 Specified Uncovered Fees: If a site requires an entrance fee and is part of the itinerary, but not covered within the package cost, it will be distinctly specified in both the itinerary and promotional materials. This approach not only allows us to offer a competitive package price but also provides travellers with the flexibility to choose how they spend their time and to decide whether they want to visit such sites or to refrain from incurring additional expenses.
6.3 Unspecified Fees: Occasionally, due to optimal time management or other factors, we may have the opportunity to explore sites not initially detailed in our itinerary. Should these sites demand entrance fees, travellers will be informed of this.
6.4 Waiting Arrangements: For travellers opting out of a site visit, they can comfortably wait in the coach or a designated waiting area. This wait typically ranges between 30 to 90 minutes, ensuring that every traveller’s choice is respected and also giving the traveller an opportunity to use that time to rest.
6.5 Supporting Local Economies: Part of our touring philosophy is to support local communities. Many regions we venture through rely heavily on tourism. Our visits to these additional sites contribute to sustaining their local economies.
6.6 Examples of Additional Sites: A prime example of such an impromptu visit might be the Sky Cart in the Palestinian town of Jericho. It provides a stunning aerial view of the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. Interested individuals can pay the entrance fee to relish this attraction, while others can relax in the designated waiting areas.
Ziyara Tours prioritises providing nourishing and ample food arrangements to ensure your comfort throughout your journey. However, we encourage all travelers to be aware of our specific food policies. Your satisfaction and well-being are paramount to us at Ziyara Tours. We encourage travelers to be proactive about their needs and communicate any specific requests or concerns in advance. Our team is always available to assist and provide clarifications.
7.1 Meal Inclusions: Only meals explicitly detailed within the itinerary will be provided. “Full board” encompasses breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while “half board” includes breakfast and dinner. The meal inclusion type will be detailed on the itinerary and promotional materials.
7.2 Meal Venues: Typically, meals will be catered at the hotel, especially for breakfast and dinner. Most often, these are served as an open buffet, granting you a variety of choices.
7.3 Specific Dietary Requirements: If you have particular dietary needs, please inform us at the time of booking or at a suitable time in advance of departure. Ziyara Tours will review potential arrangements for your specific destination and endeavour to accommodate your requirements wherever possible. However, it’s important to note that if specific dietary arrangements are not communicated to us timely in advance of departure, there may be an additional cost to facilitate these needs.
7.4 On-the-Go Meals: If dinner is a part of the package and we are on the move, we may arrange for it at a predetermined location. The meal type, whether it be buffet or set menu, remains at Ziyara Tours’ discretion.
7.5 Delayed Returns: In instances where our coach tours run later than scheduled, and the hotel has made provisions for our meal, dinner will be served upon our return to the hotel.
7.6 Lunch Arrangements: If lunch is not part of the package, it is your duty to manage this meal. During travels, we may pause at a restaurant, selected by Ziyara Tours, where you can purchase lunch at your own expense.
7.7 Personal Refreshments: During coach or walking tours, it’s prudent to have personal snacks and drinks. While we have scheduled times to eat, personal refreshments can keep you satiated between stops, especially during walking tours, coach tours, immigration wait times and during flights.
7.8 Water Provisions: On longer coach journeys, water might not always be provided by us. While we might offer it as a complimentary gesture at our discretion, travellers are encouraged to carry sufficient water with them. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but the primary responsibility remains with the traveller.
7.9 Unexpected Delays & Meal Disruptions: Travel can be unpredictable, and despite our best planning, unforeseen circumstances may arise. If due to unexpected timekeeping challenges, excessive traffic, or other unplanned events and thus are delayed beyond the hotel’s designated meal serving times, the responsibility of that missed meal does not rest with Ziyara Tours. Although we will make every effort to negotiate alternative arrangements such as discounted meals or liaising with the hotel for potential accommodations, such provisions cannot be guaranteed. We seek your understanding in these situations and reiterate that in such cases, the responsibility for the cost of an alternative meal will not fall upon Ziyara Tours.
Embarking on a journey with Ziyara Tours involves experiencing various cultures and accommodations.
8.1 Flexibility in Hotel Choices: While we strive to provide accommodations as advertised, there might be situations where a change is necessary. Should this happen, we assure you that the substituted hotel will be of the same star rating as the one originally booked, or better. The decision to change hotels will always prioritise your comfort, and we reserve the right to make this decision.
8.2 Boutique Hotel Stays: If your itinerary includes stays at boutique hotels, such as the Hashimi Hotel in Jerusalem, please note that room designs might vary due to the unique nature of such establishments. Room allocations in these scenarios are made at Ziyara Tours sole discretion.
8.3 Standards Across Countries: Travelers should be aware that hotel standards in places like Palestine, Iraq, and Jordan may differ from what is typically expected in Western countries. It’s crucial to approach these experiences with an open mind, understanding that hotel standards can vary worldwide.
8.4 Addressing Hotel Concerns: Should you encounter any issues with your room, be it amenities not functioning or incorrect beds, kindly get in touch with our Ziyara Tours team at your earliest convenience. We will work closely with the hotel to address and resolve the matter promptly. To facilitate a quick resolution, we advise you to communicate any concerns immediately upon checking into your room.
When embarking on a journey with Ziyara Tours, it’s essential for travellers to have a clear understanding of the nature and demands of our trips. Travellers are encouraged to assess their physical capabilities and the trip’s demands to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey. While we aim to be as accommodating as possible, it’s imperative to have realistic expectations and make informed decisions.
9.1 Nature of the Trip: Some of our destinations involve long days on coaches, transitioning between various sites. There can be early starts and occasionally, days might extend into late hours.
9.2 Physical Exertion: A significant amount of walking might be expected, especially during our walking tours. Some of these could span several hours. It’s essential to assess if you are comfortable with this level of physical activity.
9.3 Wheelchair Accessibility: Certain sites might have limited or no wheelchair access. If you are dependent on a wheelchair and unable to walk, you might have to forego certain visits.
9.4 Additional Mobility Solutions: In locations where buggies can be hired, any associated costs will be borne by the traveller. Ziyara Tours will not be responsible for these expenses or any associated liabilities. If you anticipate mobility challenges, we advise reaching out to us for clarity on the trip’s feasibility before booking.
9.5 Hotel Mobility Services: Some hotels might offer wheelchair or mobility assistance. Any arrangements made are a direct transaction between the traveller and the service provider. Ziyara Tours does not assume any responsibility or liability for these services.
9.6 Self-Research: Our itineraries provide a comprehensive overview of each trip. However, for a deeper understanding, you might consider researching online, using tools like Google Earth, or reading reviews to grasp the specifics of particular destinations.
9.7 Seating Arrangements: Not all places provide chairs or seating arrangements. If you require a seat, especially during extended visits, you might consider purchasing a collapsible/foldable chair to bring along.
9.8 Terrain Considerations: Travelers should be mindful that some of the destinations we explore may not have the same infrastructure as one might find in Western countries. As such, certain areas may not feature paved footpaths or tarmacked terrains. It’s essential to wear appropriate and sturdy footwear suitable for uneven or rough terrains to ensure safety and comfort during these excursions.
Your health and safety are paramount to us at Ziyara Tours. As we embark on this journey together, it’s crucial to address and manage medical needs to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
10.1 Advance Preparation: Consider all your medical needs before setting out. If you have specific conditions, disabilities, or allergies that we should be aware of, or any medicine storage requirements, please inform us well in advance.
10.2 Walking and Coach Tours: Given the duration of some of our walking and coach tours, we strongly recommend that travellers carry any essential medications with them. Prepare for full-day commitments.
10.3 Chemists and Pharmacies: Should you require a pharmacy during your trip, our team can help locate one nearby. However, any travel expenses incurred to reach the pharmacy will be borne by the traveller.
10.4 Refrigeration of Medicines: If your medicine needs refrigeration, inform us ahead of time. We’ll check for arrangements with the hotel, be it allocating a room with a fridge or using the hotel’s refrigeration facility. On coaches, if a refrigeration compartment is available, it will be provided to store the medicine. Consider bringing your own portable refrigeration required arrangements are in place.
10.5 Allergies and Medication: Make sure to notify us in advance about any allergies. Travellers are responsible for carrying and administering their medications. If needed, we recommend having someone accompany you to assist with the medication.
11.6 Liability and Responsibility: While Ziyara Tours will make efforts to accommodate medical needs, the ultimate responsibility for medication management, including its storage, usage, costs, and related health matters, lies with the traveller. Our support is without taking any liability.
10.7 Food and Medicine Management: If your medication requires you to manage food intake at specific intervals, please ensure you carry snacks or necessary food items with you. If an emergency situation we’ll do our best to assist, whether by sourcing supplies from within the group or making necessary stops.
10.8 Urgent Medical Needs: In the case of sudden medical needs or emergencies, please alert the Ziyara Tours team immediately. You should in advance of the trip make yourself aware of the local health services and the seeking of medical help in the event of an emergency.
10.9 Travel Insurance: It’s recommended to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies. This ensures you have the right support if a medical situation arises while on tour.
Ziyara Tours is dedicated to ensuring a fulfilling journey for all our travellers. As we navigate through various destinations and sites of significance, punctuality and strict adherence to set timelines are essential.
11.1 Adherence to Communicated Times: When times are provided for specific activities, be it site visits, shopping, or free time, we expect all travellers to respect and strictly adhere to these timelines. Punctuality ensures the entire group can proceed as planned and enjoy a smooth journey.
11.2 Start of Daily Activities: Our activities typically begin at either 8am or 9am. Every traveller is responsible for ensuring they are refreshed, have had breakfast, and are packed and ready (if departing) by the designated time.
11.3 Allocated Times at Sacred Sites: When visiting sacred or significant sites, travellers will be given an exact time to regroup at a designated area or coach. It is crucial to adhere to this allotted time strictly, as failing to do so can inconvenience the entire group.
11.4 Walking Tours Protocol: During walking tours, travellers are advised not to stop at shops or stalls, as this can slow down the entire group. Designated times and free days will be allocated specifically for shopping and personal explorations.
11.5 Impact of Delays: Delays due to lack of punctuality can disrupt the day’s itinerary. This may result in scheduled visits being cancelled or shortened, especially when large distances need to be covered between destinations.
11.6 Communication of Delays: If a traveller anticipates any delays or circumstances affecting timekeeping, it should be communicated to Ziyara Tours staff as soon as possible. Adjustments due to individual delays are at our discretion.
11.7. Decision on Timing & Duration: The final say on visit durations and overall tour timing lies with Ziyara Tours. All decisions are made considering the group’s overall experience and the itinerary, ensuring a harmonious journey for all.
At Ziyara Tours, we recognize and respect the diversity of interpretations and beliefs within Islam. Before booking with us, it’s essential to be aware of our organizational stance and approach:
12.1 Enhancing the Experience: Our primary intention in incorporating nasheeds during our tours is to enrich the spiritual ambiance. Especially during coach rides and study circles, we believe that beautiful recitations of poetry and nasheeds can amplify the connection to our faith.
12.2 Praises and Remembrance: The nasheeds and poetry we choose are primarily focused on praising our Creator, commemorating our beloved Prophet, and reflecting on the teachings of Islam. These are meant to increase our yearning, connection, and appreciation for the divine.
12.3 Mindfulness and Timing: While we aim to make these recitations a part of our tour experience, we remain considerate of the surroundings and the overall mood. For instance, if participants are resting or recuperating from a tiring day, we’ll ensure the recitations don’t become a disturbance.
12.4 Language Diversity: While the primary languages for nasheeds will be English and Arabic, they may occasionally be in Urdu and Punjabi, reflecting the diversity of our travelers.
12.5 Purpose and Value: Understand that the incorporation of nasheeds is to provide a complimentary layer to the spiritual journey you embark on with us. It’s a tradition we uphold to make the experience memorable for all.
In booking with Ziyara Tours, it’s important to recognise the language spoken on our tour experiences is primarily English:
13.1 Primary Language: The choice of English as the primary language for our tours is intentional. Given the diverse ethnic backgrounds of our travellers, English serves as a mutual and common language. This ensures clear communication and caters to the majority of our clients, allowing for a unified and beneficial travel experience.
13.2 Scholars and Guides: All our group scholars and guides are fluent in English, guaranteeing that the primary delivery and communication of all tour details will be in this language.
13.3 Diverse Linguistic Abilities: While some of our scholars and guides may be multilingual and converse in languages such as Arabic, Urdu or Punjabi, the central medium of communication throughout the trip remains English.
13.4 Alternative Language: While English is our designated medium for communication, we recognise the diverse linguistic needs of our clients. However, it’s essential to understand that we might not always provide translations or re-explanations in other languages. Any exceptions will be at the sole discretion of Ziyara Tours and its team.
13.5 Alternative Language Assistance: If you have a linguistic preference other than English and anticipate the need for translations during the tour, we highly recommend travelling with a companion who can assist in translating for you. This ensures that you can fully absorb and enjoy the experiences and information shared throughout the journey without any linguistic barriers.
Ziyara Tours understands the importance of staying connected while travelling. However, it’s essential to be aware of the varying levels of network infrastructure available at the places we visit.
14.1 Hotel Wi-Fi: Our selected hotels typically provide Wi-Fi access. However, the connection speed, stability, and coverage can vary significantly and are not guaranteed.
14.2 Wi-Fi on Coaches: Some of our coaches may offer Wi-Fi services. This feature, if available, is complimentary and should be considered an additional perk rather than a standard part of our packages. The availability and quality of coach Wi-Fi can fluctuate based on location and network conditions.
14.3 Mobile and e-SIM Options: For those requiring more consistent internet access, mobile SIM cards and e-SIMs are viable alternatives. Ziyara Tours can assist in obtaining these by directing to relevant shops and recommending providers such as Airalo for e-SIM services. However, please note that any issues arising with mobile SIMs or e-SIMs are beyond our responsibility. While we may offer help and advice, the management and usage of these services is between the traveller and the SIM/e-SIM provider.
14.4 Responsibility and Support: Our team is committed to providing assistance and guidance regarding connectivity options wherever possible. However, the ultimate responsibility for internet access lies with the traveller. We encourage you to plan accordingly and consider the potential limitations of network access in various destinations.
As a family-friendly and Islamic tour operator, we prioritize the privacy and comfort of all our travelers. With this in mind, please observe the following guidelines related to photography and recording:
15.1 Respect Privacy: Always be considerate and refrain from capturing other travelers in the background of your photos or videos, whether intentionally or unintentionally. If someone does appear in your shot without their explicit permission, we expect the image or video to be deleted immediately. Additionally, if it’s posted online, it should be promptly removed.
15.2 Compliance with Requests: Should Ziyara Tours’ staff or associated team members request that you abstain from taking photos or recording in certain areas, or ask you to remove previously taken content, we expect immediate compliance.
15.3 Local Customs & Laws: Some locations, in line with local customs and laws, may prohibit photography or videography. If local security, site management, or our tour team request that you refrain from such activities, please respect and comply with their instructions.
15.4 Filming on Coaches: If you are filming while on the coach, ensure that you are not inadvertently capturing fellow travelers, especially those who might be uncomfortable being in videos. Your fellow travelers’ comfort and privacy should always be top of mind.
15.5 Filming by Ziyara Tours: We regularly publish content online, which includes filming various activities during tours, such as walking tours, educational lectures, speeches, and nasheeds. We are mindful of our travellers’ comfort regarding being filmed. If you prefer not to be included in any video content, please inform our team, and we will ensure your wishes are respected. In the event that someone is accidentally included in published content, we ask you to notify us immediately so that the content can be edited accordingly. Our aim with this content is to inspire others to visit sacred lands around the world and to showcase the family-friendly nature of sites such as Masjid Al-Aqsa and Iraq, by challenging any preconceived apprehensions about these destinations by showing the reality of the amazing experiences at the sites we visit.
Ziyara Tours is honoured to facilitate visits to the Sacred Masjid Al-Aqsa. However, it’s important to understand some facts and realities prior to your visit.
16.1 Immigration Procedures: Entry to Masjid Al-Aqsa requires passing through Israeli Immigration. This process occurs either upon landing at Tel-Aviv Airport or at the Jordan Border Crossing.
16.2 Standard Immigration Process: Generally, immigration is straightforward. However, you may be asked to wait for routine checks. In such cases, officials typically ask for basic information, including your father’s and paternal grandfather’s names, your contact number, and email. Following this verification, you will receive your visa.
16.3 Enhanced Checks: In some instances, travellers might undergo more thorough immigration checks. This may include examination of your mobile phone and social media apps like WhatsApp and Facebook. Content perceived as anti-Israeli can lead to further inquiries or potentially, denial of entry. You may also be asked about your travel history and reason for visiting certain countries. Your cooperation and understanding in these situations are essential.
16.4 Clarity For Your Purpose: Remember to approach this process with clarity about your reason for visiting which is to worship at Masjid Al-Aqsa and to visit the Old City of Jerusalem. It’s also beneficial to readily provide evidence of your return flights, planned itinerary, and hotel accommodation.
16.4 Denial of Entry: Although rare, there is always a possibility of entry denial. Ziyara Tours cannot be held responsible for any package costs or expenses incurred in such scenarios.
16.6 Ground Package Costs: In regards to ground the purchased package expenses, refunds are not guaranteed due to our commitments with suppliers and entry through immigration being beyond our control. At our discretion, we may offer a full or partial refund, conditional upon recovering costs initially allocated for your package.
16.7 Avoiding Political Discussions: Our journey to Masjid Al-Aqsa is primarily a spiritual and educational pursuit, aimed at enabling you to immerse yourself in prayer and worship. We recognize that individuals may hold personal political views; however, this pilgrimage is a time for spiritual reflection rather than political engagement. We urge all travellers to stay focused on their purpose during their time in the sacred Holy Lands. It’s important to avoid discussions or actions related to politics, as they can lead to unnecessary complexities. Remember, as a group, we share a collective responsibility to ensure a harmonious experience for everyone involved.
16.8 Engaging With Locals: While visiting Masjid Al-Aqsa and its surrounding areas, you’ll find opportunities to interact with the local community. It’s important to exercise caution in unfamiliar surroundings, but this doesn’t preclude friendly and respectful interactions with locals. Feel free to engage in polite conversations, ask for directions, or learn more about the local culture and traditions. Such interactions can enrich your travel experience. However, for your own privacy and security, we recommend against exchanging personal contact information with people you meet. This approach helps maintain a balance between enjoying authentic cultural exchanges and safeguarding your personal information.
Your Financial Protection
When you buy an ATOL-protected flight or flight-inclusive holiday from us, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you, and who to contact if things go wrong.
“We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative).
In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances, the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations, and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder.
However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).”
“If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme.
You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit, you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable).
You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.”
Some of the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed in this brochure/on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. Please see our booking conditions for information, or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLCertificate

We are committed to working with you to find a solution, but failure to inform us will lead to removal from the tour and be considered in line with our cancellation policy.

We understand that circumstances can change and you might need to modify your travel arrangements. Our policy for booking modifications is designed to be as accommodating as possible while ensuring the feasibility and integrity of your travel plans.
20.1 Notification of Modifications: If you need to modify any part of your booking arrangements after receiving our booking confirmation, it is crucial that you inform us in writing as soon as possible. The lead passenger on the booking should be the one to initiate this communication. While we strive to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee that all requested modifications can be met.
20.2 Modification Fees and Additional Costs: In instances where we can meet your modification request, please note that all changes will be subject to an administration fee of £30 per person, per change. Additionally, any applicable exchange rate changes or extra costs incurred by us or our suppliers will also be applied. It’s important to be aware that these costs may increase the closer you are to the departure date when the changes are made. We recommend contacting us at the earliest opportunity to minimize potential costs.
20.3 Impact of Inability to Modify: In the event that we are unable to accommodate your modification request and you choose not to proceed with the original booking, this will be treated as a cancellation by you. In such cases, a cancellation fee may be applicable.
20.4 Transfer of Booking: If you are unable to travel, transferring your booking to another suitable person might be an option. This requires written notice from you, an administration fee may be charged for this transfer. Please note, that any extra costs incurred by ourselves or suppliers due to this transfer, such as those related to visas or flights, will be the responsibility of the lead passenger who made the initial booking. This transfer option provides flexibility, allowing another individual to use the existing booking, subject to our approval and any adjustments needed for the new traveller.
Customers may cancel their bookings at any time before the commencement of the package. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent via email to info@ziyaratours.co.uk.
The following cancellation fees apply depending on when the notice is received:
More than 30 days before departure: 20% of the total package price.
14 to 30 days before departure: 30% of the total package price.
Note: The cancellation fee includes the non-refundable deposit amount, if applicable.
Please note, that any service charges paid for visa application processes or other non-refundable administrative services are non-refundable in the event of your cancellation.
Certain travel arrangements, such as flights and hotel reservations, may not be amendable after confirmation. Any alteration or cancellation of these specific arrangements could incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of that part of the arrangements, in addition to the standard cancellation charges outlined above.
Within the context of our flexible payment options, the term “deposit” refers to the total sum payable by the client at the time of booking, not the amount paid up until the point of cancellation. This amount will be clearly indicated on any invoices sent to you. The cancellation charges apply to the total amount of each invoice, not per passenger listed on the invoice. You may be liable for any outstanding amounts, even if you have cancelled a package but have yet to complete the payment plan. The cancellation policy is enforced according to these terms.
We will deduct the applicable cancellation charge(s) from any payments you have already made to us. This policy ensures that the financial implications of cancellations are handled efficiently and fairly, in accordance with the terms agreed upon at the time of booking.
In recognition of the unique circumstances of our travelers, we strive to enforce our terms and conditions with a balance of consistency and compassion. While the policies outlined above reflect our standard practices, we understand that exceptions may sometimes be necessary.
22.1 Recognizing Individual Circumstances: We acknowledge that every situation is unique. Therefore, although our terms and conditions provide a baseline, we are willing to consider individual cases and adapt our approach when warranted.
22.2 Emphasis on Travel Insurance: We require travel insurance not as a formality, but as a crucial safeguard for our travelers against unexpected situations. Many insurance policies include provisions for cancellations, enabling you to recover costs that might otherwise be non-refundable under our terms. We strongly encourage travelers to review their insurance coverage thoroughly, particularly for cancellation-related protections.
22.3 Discretionary Refunds: In certain cases and as a gesture of goodwill, we may offer partial or full refunds on a discretionary basis. This decision will be made following a detailed evaluation of each request, taking into account factors such as the potential to recover costs from our suppliers. However, please be aware that some expenses, such as visa application fees, are generally non-refundable and may be excluded from any potential reimbursement.
22.4 Requesting a Review: To request a case-specific review, please submit a detailed written explanation of your circumstances. Our team will assess your request with a commitment to fairness and customer satisfaction. While we cannot promise a favourable outcome in every instance, we assure you that each request will receive careful consideration.
This policy highlights our dedication to balancing the need for consistent enforcement of our terms with the flexibility to address exceptional situations. Our aim is to uphold high operational standards while remaining attentive to the individual needs and experiences of our travelers.
