Early Education

Beginning his Islamic education at the age of 15, this Imam first attended the Jamia Hamidiye Rizviyyah in Karachi, Pakistan, where he focused on Hifz, memorizing the Quran. After a year, he returned to Mauritius to study Qirat and the Arabic language for two years at Raza Academy, learning under scholars who had graduated from the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Egypt.

Studies In The UK

In 2003, he moved to the UK to study at Jamia Al Karam, one of the premier Sunni institutions known for producing imams and scholars. As one of the few overseas students at the time, he graduated in 2006, receiving the honorary turban from Shaykh Yusuf Abu Sneina, the head imam of Masjid Al-Aqsa, the third holiest site in Islam.

Advanced Studies At Al-Azhar University

Following his graduation, he was awarded a scholarship to study at Al-Azhar University for a year, focusing on the Usul of Tafsir, which delves into the explanation and theory of the Quran.

Professional Experiance

Upon completing his studies, he served as an imam in Mauritius for a year, supporting the local community with his scholarly knowledge. He then returned to the UK, where he has been serving various communities as a regular khatib in many mosques around London, delivering Friday prayers and lectures in his unique and insightful way.

Mental Health Advocacy

In his professional capacity, he oversees several mental health institutions in the London area, contributing to the well-being of the community.

Projects & Teaching

He holds frequent knowledge circles weekly, aiming to further spiritual growth and development. His lectures, often posted online, provide commentary and support on various issues facing the community. His dedication to education is evident in his Saturday school, where he teaches Quran, Hadith, and Fiqh to students aged 5 and up, fostering the development of future generations. He frequently leads groups on visits around the Muslim world, including to Masjid Al-Aqsa, where he maintains a strong connection with the blessed Haram and its Imams. His commitment to education and community service has made him a respected and beloved figure in the UK and beyond.
