Alhamdulillah some of the brothers from WFIA were blessed to have been given the opportunity to visit the blessed lands of Al Aqsa in Jerusalem back in September 2018 last year. Visiting Jerusalem was a journey that I would never forget, it was so spiritually uplifting that words cannot describe it.
The Palestinian people showed us the utmost love and were so welcoming that not once did it feel like we were in a foreign land. On the other hand, we also noticed the daily struggles the Palestinian people would go through just to live in their own homeland & survive. Struggles such as being treated like they are nothing, they were having to work day and night just to survive and provide for their families.
I remember one shop owner said, we are not begging you may Allah protect us from begging all we ask for is to buy from us so we can support our families. During the tour, we also visited an orphanage of around 50 boys some of them were as young as 5 years old, when we got there they were having evening dinner which was just boiled potatoes and bread, before going to the orphanage our tour guide suggested that we go to the supermarket and buy the children some snacks which we did, and when we distributed them to the children they got very happy and their smiles were priceless.
One day in Masjid Al-Aqsa and the brothers with me decided we need to do something to help these people out, it is where we made Dua and the intention that we would go back to the UK and organise a tour group to bring people to these blessed lands in order for them to gain the blessings of visiting Jerusalem and also to support the Palestinians by buying from their shops to ease their suffering.
5 months later الØمد لله our Dua has partly been accepted as we have organized our first tour under the banner of Ziyara Tours.
We will go through the Visa process, and it could take from 1 to 5 hours to leave the airport. It isn’t uncommon for men to be held in a waiting room, older people, women, and children generally pass through swiftly. The distance to Hashmi Hotel, Jerusalem is around 35 miles which may take around one hour to arrive. Depending on how long it takes to leave the airport we should reach the hotel for the evening. We will then check in and we may get the opportunity to visit Al-Aqsa for Maghrib / Isha.
We will spend the day exploring the Al-Aqsa Compound & the Old City of Jerusalem, a city sacred to all three monotheistic religions. Some of what is included will the following sites. • Masjid e Omar (R.A) • Home Of Imam Ghazali • Sacred Chamber of Hazrat Mariyam (A.S) • Buraq Wall • Church Of The Holy Sepulchre (Holiest Site In Christianity) • Markets/Souq’s

At 11 am we will leave the hotel for the amazing and unique experience of praying Jumu’ah at the blessed Haram, the Masjid Al-Aqsa compound.
We will meet in the lobby at 10:30 am and get ready to make our way to the airport. As the gate closes at 14:50 PM we will leave early to ensure a suitable time to arrive.
